inseparable operations

In my gift-ontology, inseparable operations means that God’s works toward creation are undivided. There is one divine act, not three. Creation, redemption, sanctification are not partitioned among the persons as if each had a separate external action. This doctrine follows from simplicity: one divine essence, one divine will, one divine power, one divine act. Taxis then explains how the one act is manifested: from the Father, through the Son, in the Holy Spirit. Inseparable operations is also an anti-tritheist safeguard. It prevents speaking as if Father, Son, and Spirit were three agents collaborating. Instead, there is one agency of the one God, personally subsisting, manifested in relational order.
