arche

In my gift-ontology, arche means principle or source in the order of origin. It must be named personally, not as an impersonal first term. Arche in this register is not a neutral metaphysical substrate and not a causal mechanism. It is the Father as unoriginated source. Arche also functions as a test of ultimacy: if the arche is truly first, it cannot be composed, it cannot be made one by something prior, and it cannot be conditioned by what is posterior. This aligns with the act-of-gift grammar: the arche is not bare power; it is the one simple divine actuality named as self-communicative plenitude, personally from the Father. Arche therefore connects monarchy and gift: the source is personal and the source is giving in act, without added layers.
