Accidental form

A non-essential determination that modifies a substance, such as quantity, qualities, or creaturely relations, without constituting a new substance. Accidental forms explain how one and the same created subject can be otherwise without ceasing to be what it is. They also mark the boundary between creaturely relation as accident and divine origin-relation as subsisting.
