Accident / accidental
A feature that is not what a thing is, but something it has contingently and could lose while remaining itself. Creatures have accidents. God does not. Accident-language belongs to the receiver-side order where being is received, limited, and capable of further determinations. If you import accident-language into God-talk, you have already slipped into a subject-plus-determinations picture, the “bearer plus add-ons” model that simplicity forbids.
