Attempting to know or prove without appeal to effects, purely from concepts. Denied here as the proper route for proving God’s existence. Pure conceptual necessity is not treated as the adequate bridge from our intellect to divine reality. Reason’s natural path is from the given world to its source, under the Creator–creature boundary.
